There's a really great comment from Jerry Saltz in this podcast where he outlines his definition of "success" as an artist: simply having the time to actually create art.
My definition of success, huh? At first I thought of the many roles I play and wondered what success feels like for me in each. I discovered it is similar across the board and I feel successful when I and those around me feel they have the tools they need to navigate life and access to support when they hit a tough spot. I recently had a discussion with my students about "respect" meaning that individuals are free to be themselves and that also feels like a definition of success.
For me it’s having the time to do the things I want to do well. That could be work, hobbies, looking after family, doing absolutely nothing - whatever it might be. Flexibility in my day to appease whatever this brain thing wants to put its energy to.
What happened to the Internet Leisure Corporation? What happened to the crypto ventures of the ILC? What happened to Manor DAO? This brand seems like it is losing its roots in technology and is turning to focus only on consumerism. Though ironically that's still on brand with the theme of the 80s. Bring back the Web 3.0

I'm trying to keep this perspective in mind.
My definition of success, huh? At first I thought of the many roles I play and wondered what success feels like for me in each. Doing something energised myself and bringing positive vibes to others.
being content with your own achievements & not having the need to seek out external appreciation
my definition of success is spending my life working on something that gives me motivation to get out of bed in the morning.
Not loosing your sense of playfulness, owning your time & laughing a lot. Also having a strong opinion on a topic and acting on it.
"The road to success is always under construction" - Arnold Palmer
Success has no cap, there is no "reaching success" there is only STRIVING for success and if you are striving for success, I'd consider you successful
For me it’s having the time to do the things I want to do well. That could be work, hobbies, looking after family, doing absolutely nothing - whatever it might be. Flexibility in my day to appease whatever this brain thing wants to put its energy to.
owning your time
having peace of mind
having the means and the audacity to live life on your terms rather than defaulting to the script
In want of nothing.
+
Experiencing (or excitedly anticipating) everything you want to experience in this life.
If I can inspire _just_ one person each week through my writing, I consider that success.
Not considering whether one is successful
when you can say "I used to give a fuck, now I give a fuck less."
The question is not “the definition of succes” but rather the “definition of a track”. https://open.spotify.com/track/4mLteeiLJmBWmCKIysFMRg?si=KdaNjgmQTaWKusNsmLEA_w&context=spotify%3Aplaylist%3A5qRVU9pHArqdY7czJypH5X
