The new PALM REPORT 🌴
Plus: The life you want ☼ Truffle hunting in Tuscany ☼ Endless inspiration
Today, we’re thrilled to usher you into a new era of our beloved Palm Report newsletter, where leisure is elevated to an art form and embracing eccentricity is our guiding principle. From nostalgic escapes to inspiring lifestyles and curated discoveries, after 36 issues, we are delighted to offer a new tier of leisure for the ultimate connoisseurs striving to live “The Good Life”.
I, Marty, have been building Poolsuite alongside our wonderful team since 2014 (long live Poolside FM) and we, alongside many of you, have managed to bring this project to places we could’ve never imagined. With Palm Report 2.0, I want to pull back the curtain and bring you all closer into the journey as we rebuild Poolsuite as an internet oasis for everyone – a place of calm, endless inspiration & true community, both online & offline. I’d love you have you along for the ride.
By upgrading to our new Palm Report Professional tier at $6 per month, you’ll unlock:
An extended Thursday email with 4 additional discoveries
A Sunday Special Edition with deep dive features exploring the journeys of inspirational (often eccentric) individuals
Personal updates & recommendations from Palm Report curators Marty & Emily amidst our leisurely adventures
At a time when the internet is growing increasingly chaotic, we’re devoted to building our own little sanctuary - an internet oasis designed solely to uplift and inspire. There is so much more to explore, and we’d be honoured to have your support as we venture into this new chapter.
Yours in leisure,
☼ A NEW TAKE ON THE 35MM CAMERA
“This is a long term project for us - to make a new, high quality, and affordable film camera for everybody.”
An exciting collaboration between Manual Photo and South Korean industrial design firm Acasso is reimagining an affordable film camera for today. The MNL MK-I is a premium film camera concept made with anodised aluminium with ergonomic matte silicone. Each button and dial is meticulously-designed, paying close attention to details and proportions, and the use of transparent plastic materials evokes a retro-futuristic vibe that contrasts with the camera's film-based functionality.
Small Print Books is “a mobile bookstore traveling the east-side of Los Angeles in a Japanese Kei van offering a weekly curation of required reading & listening for those in, out of, or lusting for the know.” Run by filmmaker Colter Freeman, the micro bookstore on wheels is not to be missed in LA nor online!
